Nor-Shipping 2025: Charting a clearer course for decarbonisation

As one of the largest and most influential gatherings in the shipping calendar, Nor-Shipping continues to bring together the people, ideas and innovation needed to shape the future of our industry. This year marked the 60th anniversary of the event, providing an opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come and how much further we need to go on the journey to maritime decarbonisation.

With the International Maritime Organization’s MEPC 83 meeting fresh in mind, and the next extraordinary session to formally adopt the mid-term GHG reduction measures approaching fast this October, Nor-Shipping was a reminder that the stakes for regulatory compliance have never been higher.

Discussions throughout the week highlighted that energy efficiency technologies (EETs) are ready now and have a key role to play in driving progress and minimising emissions. We were proud to take part again this year, joining thousands of maritime leaders in Oslo for a packed week of panels, industry events and meetings to show how our air lubrication technology is making a real impact today.

This growing momentum was felt throughout the event – from conversations at our stand to the many panels on decarbonisation where energy efficiency took centre stage.
