Simon Cuthbert

Simon is the Chief Operations Officer at Silverstream Technologies, accountable for the full scope of Silverstream’s operational performance. This crucial role is instrumental in fulfilling the company’s customer commitments and supporting the operational needs of Silverstream’s sailing fleet.   

He joined Silverstream Technologies in 2020 as Head of Supply Chain and subsequently held the role of VP of Operations. Prior to this, Simon served in various senior positions within the marine divisions of Rolls-Royce plc and Kongsberg Maritime, culminating in his tenure as Senior Vice President for Procurement, Planning and Control overseeing deck machinery, electrical automation and control and integrated systems. His work in this area was recognised with the awarding of a prestigious Excellence in Procurement award from Rolls-Royce Group. 

Before entering the marine industry, Simon held senior operational and supply chain roles across a variety of sectors. He was the Managing Director of a multi-sited food ingredient manufacturing business in Switzerland and of a global aerospace component integrator. 

Simon earned an Honours degree in Environmental Biology and is a full Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS).
